Wow so the Twins were scary for half an inning…Wake me up when its the ALCS…I kid I kid I wouldn’t want to jinx anything…but seriously this kicking the crap out of teams makes me tired.

THE QUEST FOR 27 STARTS NOW!!

Congrats Minnesota you just won yourself a trip to the Bronx!  It starts today the Quest for that 27th title.  You know what they say the 27th championship is the toughest to win.  I mean will the Twins win a game…I mean I might have given them a shot had they not blown through their entire bullpen last night.  Anyway, welcome back meaningful baseball and just a suggestion flip A-Rods calendar to April just in case.  Go Yanks!!

Brett Favre may be winning but he’s still annoying

Ok I’ll admit it while watching this game there were several moments where I thought to myself…wow this guy turns 40 next week and he can still dominate.  Watch him run and jump and throw sissy blocks around the knees..this is the Brett Favre we all know and love.  It’s fun watching the guy play.  Then the inevitable happened the 3 headed monster in the booth started the love fest.  I mean going to commercial you could almost here Jaws and Gruden picking which part of the anatomy of Favre they wanted during the break.  Its like listening to school girls talk about Brad Pitt or Brett Favre circa ’92.  Look at him zing it, what a gun slinger, wait let me break out Packers practice film from ’92 that for some creepy reason I still have.  God does it ever stop…he’s a good QB we get it..No one wants to hear it though every time he drops back.  Regardless this game was decided by the inability of the Packers O-Line to stop anything.  They have to be the worst unit in the league right.  Anyway I digress.  Just keep this in mind..its week 4 and Brett Favre looked pretty good for the Jets at this point last year too…16 weeks is a long time…

What a Weekend!

What a weekend!  Penn State rebounded nicely, the G-Men are 4-0 and the Yankees are about to begin the formality that is the playoffs on their way to number 27.  I mean does it get any better than this?  Oh yeah it does…Dallas lost and that team that wears green and rents our stadium lost too….how does defeat smell Sanchez?  Kind of shitty huh!?  But I digress the G-Men are 18-3 in their last 21 road games, how ridiculous is that?  Just another dominating weekend in the world of Beers and Bleachers but it will be a better week.

Statement Win Time!!

Ok maybe not a statement win but the Lions have to win this game.  After they absolutely shit the bed last weekend against Iowa losing to Illinois and Isiah John “Juice” Williams  would probably be one of the worst things to ever happen.  Here’s hoping the offensive line shows up and stops playing like this guy…

What the hell was that?  I’m thinking 8 days in between starts probably had something to do with this.  I hate how they baby these pitchers…oh yeah lets give him 8 days off then he’ll only pitch a couple innings and then we’ll wave the white flag throw out some scrubs behind him and hope the offense can win it at the end.  What kind of message does that send?  Stupid baseball I mean that is like a strategy the Mets would use!

Yankees Re-Establish Dominance Show Sox Who Their Daddy Is!

The Yanks magic number is now 34 and the Red Sox are out of the division race…I mean Brad Penny is that really the best you could do.  Now by no means do I think the Yankees played well last night but even on a bad day they through 20 on the Sox.  My how the dominance has shifted all it took was some good pitching and Mark Teixeira.  Oh and Matsui lighting the Chowda Heads up for 7 RBIs last night.  Well tonight is Burnett v. The Guy who gave up A-Rod’s walk off in the bottom of the 15th last series.  Now the Yankees should once again dominate but I could see them taking pity on the Red Sox and slipping up and somehow letting this one get away.  It should be cool though seeing the future when there are September call ups because this one is in the BAG!

What’s up Big Blue Nation….It’s about that time of year again..ya know when we dominate the NFL minus the game at the end of last season we shall never speak of again.  Anyway..I mean I already hear the cheers of this year’s parade down the canyon of heroes and the season hasn’t even started yet.  Yes this blog has given me psychic powers.  Although I do apologize for not updating often but things have been crazy in my quest to make more money and frankly you don’t pay me…so if you want more hilariousness you can always donate to the Beer fund…what no takers?  Anyway get excited for the 4 minutes the starters are gonna play and keep telling yourself only a couple more weeks until the quest for Lombardi 4!
